Introduction

The NEW CVA Cascade XT

All it takes is a quick look at our YouTube videos or social media accounts to know how much we like Adrian's CVA Cascade. So naturally when they announced a new, upgraded version of her favorite rifle, we had to have one.

Adrian's buck harvested with her CVA Cascade in 308 caliber

She has hunted two deer seasons and killed a couple of nice deer already with her original Cascade. We've taken it hunting in all kinds of conditions and have put hundreds of rounds down range, not to mention four different ammo tests for you guys. It has been a pleasure to shoot, and has not been easy on the deer she's harvested.

So what is so new about the CVA Cascade XT?

The CVA Cascade XT is the new “precision-oriented” member of the CVA family.

One of the standout features is its precision-engineered, fluted barrel with a heavier #5 taper. This is supposed to add stability and improve the balance of the rifle. The fluting also allows for rapid firing of multiple shots without accuracy loss due to excessive barrel heating.

Additionally, the CVA Cascade XT comes with a user-adjustable trigger, which allows shooters to fine-tune the trigger pull to their preference.

Comes standard with a radial muzzle brake on a threaded 5/8x24 barrel

You know that we always appreciate a threaded barrel and CVA did not disappoint on the XT.

It comes standard with a radial muzzle brake which greatly reduces recoil, making it more comfortable to shoot, even in heavier calibers.

Top all of that off with an oversized tactical-style bolt knob that provides better leverage for faster manipulation of the bolt, and, overall the CVA Cascade XT is a feature-rich rifle that is sure to impress any hunter or shooting enthusiast.

The CVA Cascade XT in Action: Performance and Accuracy Testing

The CVA Cascade XT is a high-performance rifle that is designed to deliver exceptional accuracy and reliability. To test the performance of the CVA Cascade XT, we topped it off with a Durasight 20 MOA rail and used Riton Scope Rings to mount the Riton 1 Primal 4-12x50 Scope.

In our first shots sighting the scope in, we used two of our favorite factory hunting ammo loads (Norma Whitetail in 140 grain soft point and Winchester Deer Season XP in 125 grain soft point). The CVA Cascade XT consistently shot tight groups at 100 yards with that ammo.

Of course, it still comes with the CVA MOA guarantee. Once you purchase it, you have 14 days from date of purchase to test fire the gun and verify it to be as accurate as advertised. If the purchased gun will not produce MOA groups, CVA WANTS you to return it!
