Part 3 of our Best 308 Ammo Series

If you've ever wondered if most factory ammo shoots just as good as the next, you need to watch this video!! We take several different brands, and 3 different types of Hornady ammo to the range to see what will do best from Adrian's CVA Cascade in .308 caliber.

She actually filmed and published this video on YouTube a while back, but it is new to our website this week!

Her Cascade is topped with a Hawke Endurance 30 WA SF 4-16x50 and has an Area 419 Muzzle Brake installed on the threaded barrel. We have several videos about this gun and if you've been keeping up with us on social media, you probably saw her take a really nice buck during the 2022 deer season.

We have a lot of fun with these 100-yard ammo testing and grouping videos and plan to bring you more of them this year in both 308 caliber and 6.5 creedmoor!

Each rifle, even the same brand and model, is usually a little different, so make sure you test yours out for yourself. But, we like showing you how differently the same gun can respond to different off-the-shelf rounds.

In this video we take 5 new rounds of .308 ammo to see how they did at 100 yards.

Deer hunting with the Hawke Endurance 30 WA SF 4-16x50

The rounds we used are as follows: Hornady Precision Hunter 178 grain, Barnes VOR-TX 168 grain, Hornady Outfitter 165 grain, Federal Meet Eater Trophy Copper 165 grain, and Hornady Superformance SST 150 grain.

You can fast forward to the time stamps in the video description if you're interested in seeing a particular round.

As it usually goes with our Reviews, the BEST 308 round definitely depends on your purpose.

The round that produces the best group at the range, may not be the best bullet type for shooting an animal if that's your purpose. The best round from our gun, may be a little different from your gun.

Don't forget as you're looking for ammo, just make sure you are testing and shooting the round based on your intended purpose.

Don't forget to check out the other 308 Ammo Tests: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 4.
