From whitetail success with the new CVA Endura Pro to an Oregon cow elk hunt with the Bergara Cima CF, we’ve been busy testing gear and filming new educational content. Here’s your behind-the-scenes update.

If you’ve been keeping up with our YouTube channel, you’ve seen the weekly videos continue without a hitch. But you may have noticed a small slowdown in our blog posts and emails. Don’t worry—we haven’t gone anywhere. We’ve simply been busy in the woods testing new gear, filming hunts, and creating a ton of new content that we can’t wait to share with you.

Here’s an inside look at what’s been happening behind the scenes!
We kicked off the season with an incredible whitetail hunt while testing the all-new CVA Endura Pro. On opening day of North Carolina's muzzle loader season—from the same stand—we harvested two great whitetails. Opportunities like that don’t come often, and the Endura Pro performed flawlessly.

We documented the entire hunt, and Adrian’s whitetail hunt video will be posted very soon on the Hunt This Thing YouTube channel. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it.
And stay tuned for full reviews, accuracy testing, and more Endura Pro coverage coming to Review This Thing.
Not long after whitetail season kicked off, we headed west for an exciting Oregon cow elk hunt. This gave us the perfect chance to put the brand-new Bergara Cima CF chambered in 7mm PRC to work in the mountains. It was topped with a brand new for 2025 Burris Fullfield 3-12x56 scope.

For this hunt, we used Pendleton Ammunition custom loads topped with the Sierra 180-grain TGK bullet. Between the steep climbs, tricky winds, and long hikes, it was the ideal environment to see what this rifle and load combination could really do.
Even better—we filmed the entire elk hunt, and that full video will be coming soon to the Review This Thing YouTube channel.
While traveling, we also took the opportunity to film several educational videos that will be rolling out soon. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:
Straight wall cartridge technology has made huge leaps in recent years. Steve West from Steve's Outdoor Adventures will join us while we break down what’s changing, why it matters, and how these cartridges are becoming more capable than ever.

This upcoming video focuses on how bullet manufacturers are pushing terminal performance to new levels. We do a deep dive with Steve West from Pendleton Ammunition into how bullets are being optimized for specific calibers, improving expansion, accuracy, consistency, and overall on-target effectiveness.
TSS loads continue to rise in price, and we’ve gathered the details from the horse's mouth—what’s causing it, what it means for turkey hunters, and what to expect heading into spring.
Before we wrap up—mark your calendar!
Next week, we’re sending out a special Black Friday email loaded with great deals, can’t-miss savings, and Christmas gift ideas for the hunter in your life.
If you’re not already subscribed to the Review This Thing email list, now’s a great time to hop on so you don’t miss the best deals of the year.
Even though the blog and emails have been a little quieter lately, we’ve been anything but idle. Between hunts, travel, testing, filming, and editing, we’ve been stacking up a ton of content we can’t wait to share.
Thanks for sticking with us—and get ready.
Lots of new videos, in-depth reviews, and gear discussions are on the way!
